Samsonov and Perreault will be back Wednesday
The official site reports:
Yanic Perreault and Sergei Samsonov will be back in the lineup Wednesday on a line with Martin Lapointe.
Good. Samsonov, though he has just 4 points in 20 games, deserves to be in the lineup because he at least creates offense and has plenty of skill. Sooner or later, he will score a goal, and when that happens, I think the floodgates will open and we'll see him put away quite a few before it's all said and done.
Perreault has had his own troubles scoring as well, with just 3 goals in 25 games, but he has been such a master at faceoffs and I don't think Savard should have been healthy scratching him at all.

I like the idea
of getting these two guys back on the ice but Samsonov needs talent around him to free him up. The Kings are going to just pressure Samsonov into giving up the puck and they won't bother with Lapointe and Perreault because they're not a big threat. We'll see...

Samsonov...
I'd love to maybe see him with perhaps Havlat and Lang, that would be a very talented line and they would move the puck well.

I personally
don't care for Samsonov. The guy I want off the ice IMMEDIATELY is Magnus Johansson unless he's driving the zamboni. He was horrible on Sunday against the Flames. I know Vandermeer was a scratch on Sunday, but please get him back in there. Johansson can't skate and he scares me everytime he's out on thie ice.

Johansson
You're not kidding, he's brutal. I have no idea why Vandermeer would be scratched in favor of him. Maybe Vandy isn't an outstanding d-man, but he plays physical and still is decent in his own zone.

Not much sense
Though I want Sammy on the ice, it makes virtually no sense to put him on a line with those idiots. He's not a finisher, he's more of a creator, and it's hard to create when the people you create for can't finish. Maybe he'll get lucky, and/or some power play time.

That's part of the problem...
I mean, Savard is scratching him, I'm guessing because he isn't producing numbers, but it's tough when you're playing with Lapointe, who I don't think has been involved in a scoring chance in quite a while, and Perreault, who is more of a defensive forward. Put him with talented players and see what he can do.
BTW, per the Hawks official site, Johansson is playing again tomorrow night, and Vandermeer will be scratched again. Ugh...
