Winter "Ripoff" Classic
Below is the seating and pricing chart that has been set up for the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field. Interesting to note that the upper deck is the most expensive seats in the house. Makes sense though since it will have the best view of the entire ice. You won't be able to see anything in the bleachers, unless maybe you're lucky enough to get the higher up seats.
Now, I'm a cubs fan and love the idea of hockey at Wrigley but in all reality they should have done this at Soldier Field. I think I'll be watching this in my warm house, hungover on my couch, in beautiful high definition as opposed to paying these insane prices. $325 can buy me a lot of regular season home games at the UC.

This is a historic event
and people are going to be willing to pay whatever prices the NHL selects for the tickets. Lets face it, tickets are still going to be selling for much more than face on the streets so this isn’t truly a ripoff, it’s more like a good way for both the Hawks and the NHL to rake in some money. I however do agree that I’ll be watching this on the couch at home.

fair enough
But the Hawks or the NHL won’t see any profit once these tickets hit Stub Hub

if you can sell it at a price
then you should….if they had set them lower, then they’d in effect just be handing that extra money over to scalpers…
don’t blame the popularity of wrigley field for making this one game’s prices higher….it will give the hawks some extra cash, which can’t hurt (boy i wouldn’t have said that under WWWirtz!)
i will be watching on the couch, with some college football on….should be a fun day.
i heard some assclown complaining about how last year in buffalo, the tickets were only $10…..well, the city is about 20% the size of chicago, there were twice as many seats, and it was in a dump of a stadium! people who don’t get economics continue to baffle me (insert obama joke here) (sorry, i’ll stay away from the politics).

I believe that's exactly what he's saying
apologies to the Bills fans or those who have actually been to Ralph Wilson.

My guess is yes
And you can blame the Police for temporary bleachers a la Da Bears not being an option

Just in case people had LOTS of money to blow
I checked with some of the rooftops to see if they are doing anything. If you want in on a rooftop in leftfield, its 400. Right field is 390. Usual rooftop affair (All you can eat and drink)

400 bucks to freeze your ass off on a roof in January
with even less to see than a baseball game at Wrigley. No thanks, I’ll enjoy the game while nursing the hangover, warm, on the couch, watching it in HD.
