Trade rumors, hot women, polls

Don't know if you've all heard - but there might a trade involved with the Capitals coming up soon.  Don't believe me?  Well it's all over these here internets... do a google search for it or something.

One quick word on it - unneccesary.

In case no one noticed... Niemi is wrecking shit out in Rockford - 1.63 GAA and .943 SV%. Crawford's holding his own too at 2.16 and .913.

So now for something that really matters - hot women (and Pat Tomasulo).

After a close race - Carrie Milbank wins the inagural poll of the new reign here at SCH.  Congrats to her.  If you'd like to claim your prize Carrie - Email Me... please?

Keeping my commitment to myself, it's friday so it's time for a new poll - Who will be the last Blackhawk without a goal?  Go exercise your patriotic duty and vote.

Speaking of the poll, and attractive ladies, Sarah Spain has a nice article about The Committed Indian yesterday over at Mouthpiece Sports..

And just in case you haven't noticed - SB Nation has really hooked us up with all kinds of news toys that we've been throwing out in the sidebars and will be using in posts.  It'll make it a lot easier on us to keep the site up to date and make it much nicer to look at around here provided I don't go crazy and flood the site with info..

Just for kicks.. Here's the info (and hilarious picture of) Anze Kopitar... remember when he was supposed to be a Blackhawk too?

I disagree

with your opinion that the trade is unnecessary. Yes, we’re in the thick of it without a 2nd line center but a Buff/Sopel for Nylander trade makes good sense for both clubs and I don’t think it could hurt us.

Sopel is seeing minimal ice time and when he does, he’s a totally different player than he was last year. I think we’ve seen why he bounces from team to team. Buff hasn’t come close to living up to his expectations, regardless of how unreasonable they may have been in the first place.

All three players are overpaid so I don’t think that’s really the issue. It just fills the needs of each team better. If you’re going to be stuck with overpaid players to begin with, they might as well be filling a need.

We should have...

just kept Robert Lang. I still can’t understand the thinking there in letting him go. I have no problem letting Sopel go but I think we can get more for Bygfuglien. We need a physical defenseman more anyway.

It was nothing more than a salary dump – Tallon thought he could get under the cap some other way but then had to panic when no one would take Khabby.
