Looking at the Circus Trip
At the very worst - The Hawks will have a .500 record on the circus trip. The next few games should be rough but it won't be impossible for the Hawks to come up with one, maybe two, victories. If they do manage to take two points in a game - it'll be the first "winning" record on the circus trip since 1997 when they went 3-1-2. That's a cheap winning record though since they still tied two games (back when the NHL didn't think we needed shootouts).
To find a season where the Hawks actually won more games than they lost or tied on this trip - you have go back to 1990 when they went 5-1-0
In 1990 - Kane turned 2 during that road trip instead of 20.
The Nordiques, Whalers, North Stars and Jets were all still in the NHL.
Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em was released.
Sega Genesis was cutting edge technology - though we still had to wait a few years to see the brilliance of NHL '94.
Home Alone was the biggest movie in theaters.
and Savvy had just been traded in June for Chelios.
The '90-'91 season ended with a President's Trophy but a surprising loss to the North Stars in the first tround of the playoffs. No one is thinking of the President's trophy this year - but I wouldn't mind seeing the second round.
Here's a list of the Circus Trip records from the 90-91 season to last year - let me know if I fucked it up:

I presume you're combining losses and ties when you say back to '90
because they had winning records in ‘93 and ’97. I was actually looking at their record on this trip last week; I could only make it to ’99 before I started vomiting profusely. That’s a whole lot of bad hockey.

San Jose is going to give us another run for our money but we almost beat em last time so who knows. We have to beat the Kings, bottom line there.
