to OTL’s really hurt. We’d be in first place if the Hawks could hold a 2 goal lead, or 1 point back if we could’ve won those shootouts. No doubt, especially including last night, that talent-wise, this team is as good as any in the NHL. At this point, its only experience that holds them back – something that has cost them in big games against elite teams this year.

But, some of the wins the past week bode well for that changing in the future.

On our first power play, I want Byfuglien to make a cannon of the puck that goes straight through Chelios’s shin. Surely osteoporosis has set in by now—the wanker is 72 years old—so it could happen, right?

I envy you guys actually living in Chicago. Serious debt? It’d be worth it to attend the game in Wrigley. I live in Nova Scotia … a plane ticket, a hotel, plus the game is a wee bit beyond my budget. Watching on CBC, curing a hangover with beer … it’s all I got.

A game that would mean first in the Central … oh, to dream.

Too far ahead of ourselves here – there’s still a long way to go, and until this team actually clinches a playoff birth I’m not going to jinx it by talking about leapfrogging the hated Detroit Red Wings. Simmer down now, peeps.

…there’s a reason the Red Wings are what they are and the Blackhawks haven’t made the playoffs in years. Best of luck to you, but Detroit is and always will be number one. At least your White Sox are better than the Tigers… for now.
