They're holding a press conference today at 2pm.  I can't explain how excited I am to have him back in the booth!!!  Just one more thing to be excited about for this upcoming season.

By the way who is the one running this site and where are all the loyal Hawks fans?  Lets start getting updates and talk for this season going!  Its going to be a great year for hockey in Chicago at last!!!!

Excited

That is very exciting about Foley. He is one reason I loved listening to the games as a kid.

Does anyone know the deal with WGN this year? Will the games be on the superstation and be able to be viewed outside Chicago?

WGN

They signed a 3 year deal with WGN to show up to 20 games a year. As far as out of town games I would assume it would be the same as Cubs games. If you’re in an area that gets those I’d think you’d get the Hawks as well.

wgn

I usually drop down one level on my dish package in the winter because I dont need WGN. But this winter, if they are showing Bulls and Hawks games I will keep it.

An awesome move

Getting Pat Foley back gets me even more excited for the 2008-09 season. Pat is simply the voice of the Hawks and always will be in my book, with all 82 games on TV next year and him calling all of them, well that is just plain awesome.
