Defenseman Aaron Johnson signed
According to the NHLPA website, the Blackhawks have signed defenseman Aaron Johnson to a contract. Looks like he has spent some time with the Blue Jackets and Islanders in limited time in the NHL. I would think this will likely just be a depth move, helping to stock up some players in Rockford, he may be a guy who comes up to the big club in case of injury.

Khabby...
yeah, I still don’t see him sticking around. There are recent rumors that the Kings have kind of lost interest, I bet on July 1st they had a deal in place but it fell through. Dale will find a taker for him, I’m fairly certain.

Heard that
Not a surprise. He was gone after making those comments towards the end of the season.

Khabi and Kings
The Kings are still under the salary floor. They still need a goalie.
Ottawa is something like $11M under the cap. They still need a goalie.
Khabibulin will wind up somewhere. JWilliams wasn’t happy with the way Savard used him last year, not a surprise to see him gone.
