Single game/group tickets out today
A friend of mine called me this morning, from the line outside the United Center as he is trying to score some 'Hawks tickets. He said there was probably around 80-85 people in line, and a couple of Hawks, Cam Barker and Jack Skille, were there passing out t-shirts, and John McDonough also is greeting fans. Haven't spoken to him since, but I assume the line has probably gotten bigger by now.
Myself? I've decided to go the online route, and have not been able to get any tickets to any of the exciting games I had planned on trying to go to, such as any of the matchups against the Red Wings, and also the home opener. Looks like I will have to settle for anything else I can get, which really isn't a problem. Anyone else with success/failure stories so far today?

Online
I too went the online route and was refreshing the page at 10am until they finally went on sale. My goal was to get tickets for the home opener either 200 or front of the 300 level. I was shocked to see 200 was already gone and nothing closer than about the 6th row for the 300 level. I sucked it up and bought them after releasing what I had and re-trying numerous times.
I’m not as happy as I would like to be however I suppose the most important part is that I’ll be in the building on opening night. Can’t wait to hear that anthem start.

was able to score a few
for the January 4th game against the Flames, up in the 300 level. I was surprised at how hard it was to get 300 level tickets for a lot of games, a lot didn’t have any available. Gonna be a packed United Center this year.

i left the UC after i got my tickets at about 1030/1040 the line seemed like it was about the same aprox 75 people still there. felt bad for them b/c i knew that a lot of games are already sold out. but i got there early and still wasn’t able to get my hands on detroit games. Its going to be a great year!!!

nicely done erickron6
If I had been thinking smartly I would have been down in that line. Online has been tough. I’m still hoping to get more tix but so far just the ones to the Calgary game for me.

Catch the fever
About four months ago I moved from Chicago to Atlanta and as soon as the schedule came out, the first things I looked for was if they were playing the Thrashers on the road and if they were in town for Christmas. I got lucky on both accounts.
I haven’t bought tickets for the game here in Atlanta but when I saw the 12/26 game was at home, I started asking family and friends if they wanted to go. To make a long story short, I bought 27 tickets :) Now those rat bastards better give me my money!

Yeah funny thing antbogey
It used to be that I couldn’t get some of my non-hockey fan buddies to go to games, but last year they wanted to go a lot more often and I’m starting to get some of them into the Hawks. Still like going with my Hawk fan friends better though. :)

Luckily hear in Anaheim
The Hawks aren’t exactly a hot commodity (yet) so 100 tickets are prettty easily availabe (or a least have been in the past).
