I went to Buffalo Wild Wings on Rt. 59 by the Sears Center last night to meet Eddie Olczyk. Surprisingly I was the only one wearing my Hawks jersey and even though the place got pretty crowded it was more for the Sox and Cubs games than to see Edzo.

He was a really nice guy though and was more than willing to take a picture and sign what I brought. Has anyone else been to any of the other BWW to meet him or any of the other player apprearances and had the same result? After selling out a preseason game and with all the hype for the season, I would have thought more people would have come out.

I have not..

But with both baseball teams at the time playing as well as they were and the Bears stepping up their game… the Hawks unfortunatley fall in the back of peoples minds… and I am guilty of that… I hope for that to change in the next couple weeks.

Despite the Cubs' success

I’ve been anticipating Blackhawks hockey since June, so frankly now that I can’t really follow the Cubs anymore (outside of offseason moves), I’ve been given more of a reason to focus on the Bears and Blackhawks. Should be an exciting fall / winter, gotta say!
