Prolly post this again but

Are the Hawks douchenozzles for what they are doing to Skille? It seems to me the kid is in reality here in the big leagues as evidenced by his playing every game. Why play the paperwork game just to save money? Is he actually going back to Rockford and practicing with that team?

Nice to be a first comment for once. Suck it bitches!

i would think

that this whole time he’s has never left his downtown hotel. im sure they are keeping him in the loop and telling him that before the next game he’ll be back up

Yeah, that's my thinking

And my point. This isn’t making any sense to me at all, why keep fucking with the kid? I don’t know all the particulars here, but it seems to me that if they want this kid to be an NHL player, they should treat him like one when he is here. If they know he is going to be here, he should practice with this team and be paid and treated accordingly. I’m sure he has happy as hell for any NHL time, but it’s gotta be hard to try and break in if your status is being changed on a daily basis.

it seems to be purely a cap issue

Every day he’s “in Rockford” is a day when his $1.25m salary doesn’t count against Chicago. (From here.) It’s crappy but I guess this is the genius plan that the organization had in terms of managing the cap.

Guess that splains it

Too bad for Skille. Understanding it doesn’t make it any easier to take and I wonder how he is supposed to get any better if he isn’t working out with either team. Rat Hockey?

didn't seem to matter last night

although I agree with you. They need a better solution than the I90.

This

Is either telling Huet get your shit together or they have lost all faith in Huet, which I think is a load of crap. Can’t wait to be at the UC tonight though.

We're also playing a road game tomorrow night

So they’re probably just letting him get his game figured out in an arena that won’t dishearten him.

Also, Niemi DOES deserve a home start. Win-win for both.

Awesome.

We now have our version of the incredibly annoying, season-long drama of Grossman/Orton. Who didn’t love hearing about that every single daaaaaaaaaay!?

Yay.

I believe in Huet

if no one else will. He’s not as bad as his start.

Sassone- The Voice Of Reason

Anyone who wants to weigh in here oughtta read him today. He gets basically all of page 2, and I think Q is thinking about this right.

We got Moe, Larry, And Curly. Moe gets a lot of money, so he’ll get at least forty games.

If they’re below average like they have been so far, we’ll still be a top-4 seed.

If they’re average, we’ll compete for top-seed.

Above average, Katie bar the door.

If just one of these guys can be above average around playoff time, we’re in bidness. Even average might be good enough to go the distance. No one will be overworked.

Forget any ‘saviors’. The grass is always greener, and the last two ‘saviors’ haven’t worked out so well.
