New Hawks' third sweaters, same as the Winter Classic ones from last year, minus the Wrigley Field chest patch, but with the red "C" and tomahawks added to the shoulders.

They’re ugly!

Do you mean to tell me they are “bagging” those great looking Black Sweaters?

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! The red Tomahawks w/red C are just not right. As a one-time tribute to the thirties? sure. As a permanent 3rd jersey? No way.

Disappointed…

Oh come on...

These 3rd jerseys are beauties. Much better than the bland Black the Hawks have been using the past several years. The tomahawks on the shoulders weren’t necessary (hey, this way you have to buy the Winter Classic AND the third jersey…collect all 4!), but they don’t necessarily detract either.

Way to go Hawks converting these into your alternates. By the way, these were MUCH nicer than the ones Detroit donned against us at Wrigley.

Collect all 4?

I’ve already got red, white, black and winter classic… I’m going for all five.

Trying to decide between Keith, Versteeg, and Hossa.

it's another way they get to milk the Winter Classic

as well as increase jersey sales. That’s just how it is. Let’s just be thankful it’s not baby blue bad.

I actually think the color changes on the tomahawks are pretty sweet.. though these look like iron on patches. I’d prefer stitching

They basically are, those were the replicas that I took the picture of at Hawk Quarters on Michigan. I’d assume the authentic ones and the ones the players wear will be stitched nicer.

the former blacks showed 0 imagination

these are nice heritage tributes.

they organ-I-zation probably isn’t ready for something bold – like a sublimated print with a full face view of the indian from the front with the feathers and hair extending back over the shoulders

I'm all for 'em

I was hoping they’d bring these back. Wife and I both loved them during the Winter Classic last year.

The previous black sweaters didn’t do anything except say, “check it out, we’re wearing black!” Kind of like the Bulls’ black jerseys. These have an old-school, but timeless, look to them.

nice work

The tomahawked “C” is a good touch to bring the 1930s jerseys up to date. And I’m sure it’s a stitched patch.
