Coyotes 3, Hawks 1
Apologies for the late, and quarter-assed recap, but we all hope you understand due to the revelry had earlier at the Whirlaway. Obviously not an ideal outcome, but there were some positives to take from tonight- just not the power play. Full recap coming tomorrow morning. Sleep well.

It keeps looking
That our PK has a better chance of scoring than our PP, and while they had some chances tonight, it’s hard to argue against a shortie. And you would think Sharp and Kane had more practice against goalies who go down early…Still Hawks are doing well even with injuries, no reason to panic but enough reason to complain, which in and of itself is a good sign. Along the same lines, as much as it sucks, it’s nice to have arguments about the Cap, since that means our focus isn’t on our play, but on our future play. Disappointed with the Hawks as of late, but still happy with the team as a whole, there is alot of hockey left that will make us enjoy drinking and at times make us want to drink. That’s about all I can come up with that is still legible at the moment, rail me for over generalizations and what not, but as a final note, we all root for the Hawks.
wait what?
I vote...
That when we are on the PP, we just send Kane out there by himself to skate around the 4 guys. I think we will get more shots on goal that way. Our D-men trying to stick-handle into the zone is just dreadful. The point shooters seem to launch them directly into defenders. This is where you miss a Mr. JHC. Him and Kane would tear it up last year playing tic-tac-toe to eachother from either side of the net…And Bobby Lang and Kane the year before that. They can’t seem to set that up this year.
A bag of pucks
would be a nice return for Buf. He was horrible last and boy was he getting drilled. I’m done with him Hopefully that is the last Fathers Trip. We were not ready. Phoenix skated with the confidence and desire the Hawk had Last Year. Seabrook still doesn’t look the same!!!
That was bad, bad and very bad!!…….and infront of thier Fathers….where is the Commitment?
5 nights off … and then playing against a team we owned and punished last year in every contest, and so a team with more pride on the line than we could manufacture (which drives me nuts).
That loss was 95% power play and 5% those two goddamn break-aways (you remember, the ones that didn’t result in shots on net). I can take losses, but I hate losses that should be wins.
I liked Eddie O pointing out how Sharp was so out of position last night for what could have been an easy tap in goal. the PP in the first looked like a local man’s league. Four guys standing at the line and a defenseman trying to power the puck through the great wall of china by himself. Taking nothing away from Bryzgalov, because he was excellent, but when you have 2 breakaways in the matter of a minute, you need to hit the net somehow.
That was embarassing.
You have to have a DVR for these games. I hit rewind on that play 5 times and could not believe my eyes. What was Sharpie doing over there taking a nap? It almost seems like the whole team needs to down a Red Bull and wake up before they go out there. That sounds harsh and we all know how talented and fast these guys are but they definitely are not getting the jump on the puck. The PP is constantly starting out sluggish in our own end with the exception of a Keith breakout. The Hawks will be fine but I just feel a little embarassed for their Dads. More Red Bull boys!
Victim was found murdered by a Chelsea Dagger.
A new strategy...
I really think we should simply go out on the first shift and run the other team’s goalie. Just absolutely plow him over. Take the penalty. But maybe the goalie won’t have another stellar game against us as it seems EVERY goalie we face this season is having.
And maybe practice breakaways a lot more in practice. How many did we miss last night?
Bolland looked really slow
His back must be really messed up. Even when toews gets back it will be hard to sit him. Maybe ebbet can step up. Buff wasn’t strong enough on the puck. Hopefully he can pick his play up because we need a black person on this team. If he get’s traded aliu needs to get called up right away.
They brought their fuckin' TOYS with 'em!
I’m pretty sure that was tongue in cheek…

Kopecky was ok..
…compared to previous efforts, but I got the sense the PR machine was cranked up on his behalf, and I was being sold something.
