The hilarity in Detoilet continues.

The parade of Skating Wounded continues in Detoilet, as former Hawk Jason Williams has broken his fibula in a game against the Maple Leafs (a game that The Scum ended up losing 5-1).  J-dubs took a hard check into the half boards, then laid on the ice for upwards of 5 minutes.  The Detroit DOA list now reads: Franzen (torn ACL), Williams (broken leg), Filppula (cracked wrist), and Lilja (brain damage).  Not to mention the losses of Hossa, Hudler, and Samuelsson, and the yearly slumping of Chris OsGay.  If there were ever a time for the Hawks to open up a 20 point lead on these shitheads, its now.

YEAH

LET’S SHOW THAT CHRIS “OSGAY” GUY WHO THE REAL GAYS ARE. THAT DAMN DIRTY HOMOSEXUAL.

Weak. Seriously.

Upon further review

A bit weak indeed. But it’s hardly the first homosexual slur used against the Scum. Pretty sure it shows up regularly in The Indian.

Zing not found

but my respect for ATAJ was retained.

Though the argument that “other people do it, so it must be okay” is pretty weak, at least he’s admitting that it’s weak.

question for thor

Do you find the “you wanna know how I know you’re gay” routine in The Forty Year Old Virgin funny?

I’m not trying to be a smart ass, I’m legitimately curious.

You just reminded me

of waaaay back when Grossman was the QB, and of the on screen facts FOX decided to show, one was that his favorite band was Coldplay.

wait what?

The best one I saw was one that I think the guys in the truck just did for themselves for a laugh and somebody put up by accident.

I don't really find much in that movie to be funny

because it’s generic, Hollywood slapstick humor

Now, that's funny!

Kind of reminds me of the underappreciated genius that is

Ghostbusters II.

Egon (upon entering Oscar’s room): Very cheerful. My parents didn’t believe in toys.

Ray: You mean you never even had a slinky?

Egon: We had a slinky. But I straightened it.

well, it isn't really slapstick

There really isn’t enough physical comedy to qualify it as such. But I suppose I could see how it could be seen as generic.

Zipperhead!

Laughing at people getting hurt? I, and probably the players on the Blackhawks would rather beat them at their best. By the way, they are 1 point behind the Hawks. Not exactly a time to act like a fool and spout off.
I live in Michigan and would like nothing more than to see the Hawks beat Detroit, just like Jordan did a long time ago to The Pistons with the Bulls. Let them think they are better, and then beat them anyway.

Are the Blackhawks dominating anybody right now. I don’t think so, so shut the fuck up you maroon.

Am I band now?

The whole point

Was that the Hawks should take advantage of the Wings current injury problems. Pretty sure I wasn’t “acting a fool” and “spouting off”.

And yes, anything bad happening to the Wings is worth a laugh.

Maroon?

You just tried to insult a guy by calling him a dark shade of red.

any Bugs Bunny reference is obviously a good one

Considering the conversation above...
Am I band now?

I would have to say, yes, you are. Coldplay. You are Coldplay now.

Pipe down. Karma is a b**ch.

by Dr. Ice on Nov 9, 2009 1:38 PM CST reply actions

Well..

I do agree that the Hawks need to use this opportunity to open up some points on the Wings.

by Matthew Dirt on Nov 9, 2009 5:22 PM CST reply actions

Are the Wings dead?

The Wings are far from dead and heading into last night they had scored as many goals as the Hawks with 43, even with all those injuries. Also, they are 5-1-1 at the Joe as home ice has served them well this early season and with Columbus sporting the worst GA in the Western Conference the Wings look to be once again the team to beat if the Hawks want to capture the Central Division.
Eventhough they have had a lot of injuries let’s not count them out this early in the season.

It's never about the eventual destination, but rather the long journey and its challenging obstacles that are presented and what it takes to overcome them, that makes the taste of success all the more worthwhile!!!
