Notes For Tomorrow's Game
They come from the same article, here.
-Sharks leading scorer and certainly MVP, and a contender for Hart Trophy -- or he should be -- Patrick Marleau will not play tomorrow to be at home for the birth of his second child. Mrs. Marleau, take your time, no rush.
-JR will make what has to be his final regular appearance at the UC tomorrow. I couldn't be happier. There will be a big piece on JR in tomorrow's Indian. Simply, he's my favorite Chicago athlete of all time, and one of the main reasons I'm a Hawks fan, and live the way I do. Which is probably sad, but fuck it.
And from the Hawks official "Twitter":
-Q says Barker "could play" while Walker is definitely out.
When the Hawks faced the Sharks last time they were without Dan Boyle and now they're without another of their key pieces. I wouldn't put the Hawks totally over their slump just yet so any edge they can get for tomorrow is much appreciated.
The Power Play really looked off without Barker on Sunday so here's hoping he's back and can add some organization to that. We also couldn't be happier to see Walker watch another game from the press box. We have no more use for that mole.

Q says Walker “could play”, but Fork says Walker “can’t play”.
Sorry, that sounded funnier in my head.
HOCKEENIGHT.COM...home of FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS and LEAVE IT TO BETTMAN...now with PODCASTING!!!
Growing up roenick was my favorite player, I still cheer for him when he plays in chicago, and I can’t wait to read the article on him tonight. I am not sure if roenick is going to retire after this year or what the deal is with his contract, but I would sure like to see him retire here in chicago. Will it happen, probably not, but shit that would be awesome.

How could he NOT retire a Hawk? His best seasons were here, most notably of course his 100+ point/50+ goal seasons. If he EVEN so much as considers retiring a Phoenix Gretzk…I mean Coyote, or a Flyer, he will be dead to me. Forever. That’s like #9 donning a Winny Jets jersey in the HOF. Okay, maybe not THAT bad, but you get my drift. I’d expect Rocky to make him an ambassador come his retirement. I don’t know if #27 will reach the rafters, but he’ll be brought on in some PR form.
And I’m all about participating in the JR Love Fest Orgy, but come game time, he’s the enemy. And I wouldn’t care one bit if Seabs, Burish, or even Q put him on his tucked-in-teel-jersey arse.
I would actually like to see them pick him up and let him play every couple games on the 4th line or something. Veteren presence or something(i heard dale mention that about lang outside a practice once). I know it’s not really practical, and won’t happen.
Concerning that second part, I don’t think roenick would care if they did. He’ll probably try to do it to one of them.
