Good News After a Horrible Weekend
A couple of good news items in this Trib article that should cheer you all up after this past miserable weekend.
The First - we could be getting a look at Pahlsson sooner than we expected.
Sammy Pahlsson, acquired in Wednesday's trade with the Anaheim Ducks, said he could join the lineup in a week or so "if everything goes really well."
Of course the "if everything goes really well" is a huge IF.. but we'll see.
The second:
Generally speaking: Tallon is heading to the NHL general managers meeting beginning Monday in Naples, Fla. When he returns, he expects to meet with Allan Walsh, the agent for winger Martin Havlat.
"We'll probably meet sometime at the end of this week or next week, and we'll see if we can get something done," Tallon said. "We want him here, so we'll do everything in our power to keep him."
I'd wait to see what his injury is before anything big - but word is that we should know more about Marty today.

Keep our fingers crossed
At least Bohunk’s shoulder is still intact. I really like the Pahlsson pickup, if only for the angst it’s caused Earl Sleek…BWAHAHAHAHA!!! (Seriously, Earl is a really cool guy, we’ve had him on a PUCKCAST, and he knows his hockey).
I’m sure Skille already has his duffel bag in the trunk, ready to put a little more wear on his I-Pass. But I’d rather see a healthy Havlat.
HOCKEENIGHT.COM...home of FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS and LEAVE IT TO BETTMAN...now with PODCASTING!!!
more importantly
Khabby expected to start Sunday’s game
"Oh, that's easy. White Sox. I'm not one of these fair-weather fans. You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer; beautiful people up there. People aren't watching the game. It's not serious. White Sox, that's baseball. South Side." -O'Bama
Not according to Chris Kuc – He’s got Khabby, Sharp and Pahlsson all out for probably 10 more days – link
He could be wrong though…
