It's a sickness really...

The warm weather is great and all - I really like it.  But both Sam and I just admitted to really worrying about how it's going to affect the quality of the ice for tomorrow...it's kind of sad.

Anyways, new poll

Silver Lining

Hockey games in the spring! Oh to have these kinds of problems every year….

According to Dustin Byfuglien...

…the U.C. had the worst ice in the NHL when I called in and asked him about it on WSCR during the winter…so…perhaps it will just be ice soup tomorrow night.

I like boobs.

Oh, nice...

I heard your question…When they were at Buffalo Wild Wings or something…

Yeah, he said hands-down, no question about it the U.C. has the worst ice…

The longer the Bulls stay in

the more screwed the UC ice will be.

One of the commentators for a different playoff game was commenting on how the lack of an NBA game on the NHL ice for a few days had led to better ice quality. As much as I’d like to see the Bulls succeed, I’d really rather the Hawks have good ice. But I don’t know that it really even matters that much since everybody plays on the same ice. Then again since we’re more of a skill team than CalGary it probably would affect the Hawks more.

The Bulls

will have one more game at the UC. And of course, like many Chicagoans, it would be great to see them succeed, especially knocking off the Celtics…but, it ain’t happenin’.

The Hawks have a far greater chance of actually doing something with their playoff appearance. The Bulls are the classic “happy to be here” team that just got pasted at HOME, at the hands of the Garnett-less Celtics. That’s like the Hawks losing 7-1 at the UC to an Iginla-less Flames…which we know they’re too good for that to happen.

Sure, if the Bulls pull it off, that’s awesome, but it will be by reason of a miracle and not because they’re a stellar team. So, in summary, sacrifice the ice quality for a stellar Bulls team that can really do something, fine. But not for an average team who can jeopardize the Hawks chances.

…because the Celtics are not a particularly good team without Kevin Garnett, game 3 notwithstanding." (fixed)

I’ve got a good feeling about this game. Say, a 3 – 2 nailbiter that Chicago emerges victorious from?

Insert clever and witty remark slash pun here!
