You Want A Wrap?: Canucks 5, Hawks 7 (Hawks win 4-2)
Holy Fuck.
Daydream. Fucking. Nation. (19 and 88)
There. There's your wrap. Not even fucking Hemingway could accurately sum up what we just saw. So there.
Maybe I'll have more cogent thoughts tomorrow. But doubtful.

My heart stopped
Soooooooooo many times during the game, I’m not sure if I’m going to have a pulse when I wake up and stop drinking
wait what?

What a finish!
I’m so proud of this team! I’m going to have to watch the replay again just to relieve those moments, the ebb and flow, the ups and downs, just a spectacular finish to the series!

"ebb and flow"
That third period was like the tide on meth.

That was ridiculous!
Love that Burish scored!

This game
Is the stuff of what legends are built out of. If there was any doubt to the validity of this team’s claim to a shot at Lord Stanley’s Chalice, it should be washed away. The Scum will be next, and it should be a grand old time.
Old Time Hockey is back at the UC.

Daydream Nation, love it. I call them “light and magic” myself, but man, what. A freaking. Game.

I call them “The New Order” because I actually ran out and bought that album the day it came out. Call them peanut butter and jelly, they still make me happy to be a ’Hawk fan!

Congrats to you and the Hawks. What a messed up Game 6! In the end I have no trouble saying that the best team won. Now PLEASE destroy the Wings or the Ducks. I hate them both!
Have fun, all. Been a slice.

Ya bro
I’m perty drunk in a most celebratory way. That was the best playoff game in a while for many folks. Your words show style and relevance in the sense that I too hate both the Wings and Ducks. If things had gone the other way, I’d be calling Canucks all the way. As it turns out, apparently we shall quash any takers.

i was at the game...
and couldnt wait to start drinking with my buddies after the win (not being 21 sucks at Chicago bars)…however two of my friends are now passed out and the other “isnt drinking anymore.” So im not writing on here and drinking by myself but who cares right? Western Conference Finals? Fuckin insane. I love this team. Go hawks.

Holy god,
my voice is still hoarse. And I broke my coffee table. But holy god that game was worth it.

I lost a vase and accidentally tripped over the dog, but it was all worth it.

Whatta a f*ckin' GAME!
Hats off to 13 year-old Patrick Kane on the trifecta! That last goal was highlight fodder for sure! It’s so great to have Black & Red flowing through my veins again after some dismal years here in Chicago! GO HAWKS!!!!

I'm new to this site
what’s the basis behind Daydream Nation?
I recognize that you’re referring to Kaner and Toews, but why that term?

They were born in 1988 and if you combine their numbers, it’s 1988.
Sonic Youth’s Daydream Nation came out in 1988.. There’s really no reason for it other than that.. and that we like it.
This post has become the key to understanding our nicknames…

no need to explain
SY’s Daydream Nation is among the greatest albums ever…not just in indie rock. I have it behind MBV’s “Loveless” as the second best album in my lifetime (since 1980).
