Is Dale Tallon's job secure?
Is it just me or am I the only one who gets the feeling that Rocky Wirtz, John McDonough and Scotty Bowman may be manuevering to fire Dale Tallon? I sure hope not because count me as a big fan of Tallon. But that said I get the definite sense that McDonough is not enamored with Tallon and has already accumulated the political capital within the organ-I-zation to push Tallon aside. McDonough is a shrewd operator and I would not put anything past him. But I wish he would concentrate on marketing and leave hockey operations to the qualified people within the organ-I-zation.

Do you have any, like, evidence for this opinion?
Or are you just going on gut feeling? ’Cause I feel like John McDonough might have a toy pony collection.
NOW STOP IT RIGHT HERE
Were you saving that one up for this exact situation?
Or did you google search John McDonough pony collection?

Well kudos on the quick thinking, as strange as it may be.

Holy shit.
The first time I looked at that, I thought “Huh? An audiobook about ponies? Okay.”
… then I realized it’s narrated by some fellow named John McDonough. That’s crazy.
NOW STOP IT RIGHT HERE
There have been some audio clips and so forth
that I’m not going to look up. Rumors from different sources mentioned that both Campbell and Huet signings were Rocky Wirtz calls and not Dale Tallon. Also there was a lot of disagreement about firing Savard that eventually was pushed for by McDonough and Wirtz.
As far as Dale Tallon goes, he has 1 year left and more of these rumors (hard to verify because they’re rumors) is that Stan Bowman will be calling the shots after Tallon’s deal is finished.
"Oh, that's easy. White Sox. I'm not one of these fair-weather fans. You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer; beautiful people up there. People aren't watching the game. It's not serious. White Sox, that's baseball. South Side." -O'Bama
I’ve heard this school of thought also. I can’t imagine Tallon’s feeling too comfortable either having Stan’s dad having some pull in the organization.
My goal? World domination.

I for one want Dale Tallon in charge
I’m getting a little bit uncomfortable with the persuasion Scotty Bowman is having on things. And it is my opinion that John McDonough is not a big fan of Dale Tallon for whatever reasons, but boy I sure wish he’d stick to doing what he does and let the hockey operation alone.
Awww, come on guys, it's so simple maybe you need a refresher course. It's all ball bearings ...
Why is Scotty Bowman here?
Because Dale’s days are numbered. It has been said Bowman was brought here to evaluate Dale’s work. I think he is excellent on the draft board, but if they were that quick to get rid of Savy, I am sure they will not hesitate to pull the trigger on Dale.
