Rick Dudley resigns as Blackhawks Assistant General Manager

Rick Dudley has resigned as assistant GM effective immediately. "Rick has informed me that he has resigned from his position with the Blackhawks to pursue other opportunities," General Manager Dale Tallon said. "I would like to extend my gratitude to him for his work with our organization and certainly wish him well in the future."

Dudley served four years in the Blackhawks hockey operations, which includes each of the last three as the club’s assistant general manager.

What fucked with me was CSN’s tweet saying Dudley resigns as Blackhawks Assistant GM. I originally thought he was signing a longer contract, not leaving the team.

he thinks he has more of a shot at getting a GM job there. I’m not sure what Atlanta’s situation is with management, but their GM can’t be in a great position after finishing with the 4th worst record. If he were to stay in Chicago, there wouldn’t be much upward mobility. Even if DT gets fired in the near future, Stan Bowman seems to be poised to be the next GM.

Atlanta has one of the worst ownership groups in hockey

ranked 4th worst

they co-owners sue each other, all ownership decisions are done by vote, reading the article is a little synopsis, but other than the Phoenix fiasco I think they’re the worst in hockey
