So, not much non-Heatley buzz through the night. If you were the Ottawa GM, wouldn't shooting Heatley in the kneecap be a serious consideration right now? You ask for a trade publicly with your anvil of a contract, and then won't go where we've negotiated a pretty fair haul? Jerk.

Anyway, it all kicks off at 11 Central, and this will probably work like it did Deadline Day, where I constantly update posts, and you'll have to refresh. But believe me, it's totally worth hitting that button to read my ever-so pithy comments about the goofs on TSN or complaints on missing the All 90's Last Letter Game on Q101.

thefourthperiod.com just posted that the sticking point with the Hawks signing JHC is length of contract – which isn’t news – its been bantered about that the Hawks only offered a 1 year deal and JHC would like a longer deal. Can’t say that I blame him (JHC) ..
COME ON! Tallon! don’t be a complete Tool-Bag and pass on this .. sign him now, sign him now, sign him now!!!!!!!!!!!

We can’t let them test the market. We need to get them on long term, and ASAP. I see Kane being the toughest one to get on board, looking to make butt loads of money. But it would be a horrible day to be a Hawk fan if they can’t get Toews back… Those kind of guys dont just happen to fall into your lap every day…
