The Pipes, The Pipes are calling..
The Blackhawks announced today they signed Danny Bois to a one-year deal. I know absolutely nothing about this kid. According to Hockey-Reference though, he's 6'1" 200 lbs. and a winger. He played in one game for the senators in the '06-07 season, got just under 4 minutes of ice time but 7 PIM... nice. The fight he got into that game was against Donald Brashear, so either Bois' got balls the size of planets or a deathwish.
Oh, and here's a video of him beating up a goalie...

My kind of guy!
Anybody who wants to fight a golie is ok in my book. That looks like our old Fraser in the background lets ask him.
With a goalie fight and more time in the box than on the ice, he’s gunning for the lead in the next installment of Slapshot.

more like an upgrade
Kaner could probably fight better than walker, so anybody replacing him is a plus. Nickname for Bois: Ogie Ogilthorpe

Guy I'll hate
As a Wolves STH….this will be a guy I’ll hate on the Hogs…. Don’t see him makeing it on this team.
Holy crapaloosa, batman
You know, having grown up as a goalie, and all the cheap shots you take at forwards lingering in the crease, it’s surprising that someone hasn’t gone off and waylaid one sooner.
Anyone remember the Toronto game where Patrick Roy slow-footed Mike Gartner behind the net? Afterwards Gartner (who was trying to avoid Roy) was kind of laughing in disbelief at Roy who sort of stood there like a Cheshire cat.
Of course, there was always the Vernon-Roy fight where Vernon went all MMA on Roy and grabbed his left pad and sort of tossed him down. Priceless stuff.
Only a goalie could make that post legit
The rest of us continue to nurse the chronic lumps on the backs of our calves.
