Happy New Year and Enjoy The Winter Classic

This time last year I think plenty of us were killing our hangovers by freezing our asses off at Wrigley Field.  Now plenty of our friends are doing the same over at Fenway.  If you're looking to join a game thread for the Classic - pick your poison and visit Stanley Cup of Chowder or Broad Street Hockey... or I guess you could use this post.

Whatever you do - have a great new year and once again, thanks for reading this stupid site and making it a ton of fun for the three of us.

And thank you gentlemen

for making this stupid site fun to read. Happy new year to you as well.

I’ll be in town, and at the game on Sunday (thanks to oneminuteremainingintheperiodoneminute for letting me steal his tickets) with my old man, and I’ll definitely be picking up an Indian.

Isn't picking

up an Indian illegal in this state?

And...

In the future if anyone needs to refer to me in a post feel free to shorten my name. I don’t like typing it either.

No

only in Wisconsin. Which is cruel irony…given the native american population in the northern part of the state.

Happy New Year to Everybody!

And a special thanks to the 3 amigo’s for putting up with my antics from time to time.
Best wishes to everyone, may it be healthy and wealthy in the New Year and the New Decade.
2010 This is the Year!

It's never about the eventual destination, but rather the long journey and its challenging obstacles that are presented and what it takes to overcome them, that makes the taste of success all the more worthwhile!!!

Happy New Years!!

Suck it College Football. I’m watching the Winter Classic and NO college football. You’ve ruined what used to be a glorious day of football. Thankfully, the NHL has come to our rescue with the Winter Classic. Go Hawks.

I totally agree. The college champion is no longer decided on new years day, and by the time it is decided, I won’t agree, and I won’t care.

The classic is a great idea, everyone is so excited in the stands, brings back memories of pond hockey, frostbite, and for myself, the old days at the Elmhurst YMCA.

Happy New Year Everybody!

Happy New Year, again

Wish I was in Boston, 40 degrees actually sounds tolerable for sitting outside. I’m going to the Hawks game in Boston next week (hoping to catch some AHL games too), so I can maybe at least get a look at Fenway while the rink’s still set up.

Despite all the promotion for this, I had to explain to my mom in Iowa (and she went to school in Boston and my parents are Red Sox fans) what the Winter Classic is, and that it’s in Boston now…

a little chippy: hockey, mostly

My brother in law asked me if they were playing at wrigley today. When I told him that was last year he looked confused and then walked away.

They brought their fuckin' TOYS with 'em!

Big Buff not in

espnchicago.com is reporting that Big Buff will not be named to team USA when announced after the game.

Of all the Hawks players who could benefit from hanging around some of the best players in the world for 2 weeks, Buff is #1. Would have been a good chance for guys to show him how to get his ass in gear like Pahlse did.

Would have been nice...

However, Buff not making the team might light a fire under his ass and hopefully make him play with more hunger than he normally shows.

Wow, that kid really needs to learn to read.

I don't know what you bitches did during the Winter Classic but...

I had a bonfire in the backyard hungover friends came by with the game on in the backyard, celebrating outdoors yo! Prop’s to Marco Sturmie ex-Shark with the GWG! The only thing that sucks is that I was pulling for Philly. And No I don’t really know Kevin Smith he just had my tickets to the N.J. game but I would really like to know Rosario Dawson alot better than I do right now.

It was a great game

Nice start to the new year. This year is going to be really, really bad and I can’t wait for it to be over, so the only thing I’m looking forward to is watching this Blackhawk team make every day fun.

I must admit- I rooted for Boston because of their ads...
