UPDATE:
Right now it's going to be 9 people at The Flying Puck, 364 7th Ave (between 30 & 31st) at 5:45pm. Come when you can! They don't take reservations, so I'll try to get there early. I'll be in my Red Panda outfit, and you can join our table when you utter the secret passphrase. ;) Hope to see you there!
So, in one week's time, our beloved Hawks will make their only trip to the New York City area to take on an O6 opponent, the Rangers. Who knows, maybe Scott will punch Avery for the fun of it. Hopefully, by November, the Hawks will have started playing hockey again, instead of...whatever that was on Saturday.
Anyway, I know there are quite a few people who are planning to attend the Hawks-Rangers game on Monday, Nov. 1st, so I was thinking it'd be nice to meet up before the game, or post-game, depending on what works best for everyone. Think of it as a way to justify the fact that we're all spending way too much time on SCH, and be able to say to the rest of humanity, "no, I swear they're real, I've met them before, and they were wearing pants! I swear! ...well, except for puppet..."
I was thinking that a good place to meet up would be at The Flying Puck, which is an actual hockey bar in Midtown. It's a Rangers bar, so even if you weren't able to grab a ticket to the game (seriously, $50 for a seat in the mezz/400 level? damn...), you'll be able to watch it there. It's also right by Madison Square Garden, so those of us with tickets can walk over to the game together after meeting up.
Sowho's going to the game? Are people interested in meeting up for a drink or food beforehand?
