Ladd named ATL captain
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=543901
"Andrew Ladd will be that guy," coach Craig Ramsay told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It's responsibility but he's well-respected. He has stepped up his commitment to himself to make sure he's ready to play every night and his commitment to the team has been so evident. He's earned that. I didn't know who to pick at the start of the season and he's earned that opportunity."
I definately think hes deserving of it. At least heart-wise, maybe not the skill set of most captains in the league but definately could lead a team. Your thoughts?

Someone here thought Ladd...
would be back by the trade deadline if the ’Hawks could swing the money. Looks less likely now.
Just win the next game...!
I was firmly in that camp untill now
And now to find a bottle of something intoxicating….
My hatred of the Canucks is matched only by my love of drinking.
But.............
ATL does not like keeping its Captain, they tend to get traded.

Ladd is more of the Dirk Graham type of captain - not a cirrent NHL fashion, but a good choice
Confusion will be my epitaph.
The Cup is ours until someone takes it from us.
agreed
heart-wise, he SI a good captain’s choice, but no where in the same league skill-wise as most captainsin the league. But I AM incredibly happy for him, and miss him dearly.
happy ninja may seem happy, but may have to kick your ass if you don't get it in gear.

that's awesome...
except it means he’s not coming back here anytime soon.
Glad to hear Laddy got it
I think it just shows how strong that SC team was. How many from that team are now wearing letters?

No, I love the liquid *inside* people. How many times I gotta tell you this, man? I'm insane! I eat people-juice. No one's gonna hire a people-juice eater!
That was my line of thinking
not bad a 1/4 of dressed players now leadership.

Another player who was average during the season
and turned it up for the play-offs. Kopecky and Buff were two others who were average until the play-offs.

Laddy may have been average...
but at least played with heart and got into opponents faces. Kop and Buff were definitely below average, never living up to their potential. Out of all the players that fell victim to Cap-ocalypse, Ladd is the one I miss the most.
