Ladd on the block?
He was pulled out of practice this morning after Bolland returned.
Some writers are speculating that there might be a deal in the works with Pitt for Jay McKee because he was a healthy scratch in last night's Penguins game. Specifically Sassone. If true, I think this could make a lot of sense for the Hawks. Although I like what Ladd brings to the Hawks, I am worried about what would happen if one of our top 4 defenseman went down with an injury of any significance. McKee is a UFA after this season, so it would open up a little cap space too. I guess we'll see what happens.

Sam beat me to it by 2 minutes. Sorry for the redundancy.
Sorry guys, there’s not much truth to it. Pittsburgh knew what they were getting into when they signed McKee for one year, and they didn’t bring him in to play from Oct – Jan.
If anything, the Penguins are looking to add a defensive defenseman, not move one away.
I think this was a case of an out-of-town writer sees McKee as a scratch and questions if he’s on the block. To my knowledge, McKee was scratched due to injury, not because the Penguins are looking to deal him.
