PrintThis is all over the hockey intertubes by now but it for sure deserves it own fanpost/shot whatevs. As many of you know, Cooke is the dumb animal who destroyed Savard and is a serial cheap-shot artist (Remember when Keith scrambled Cooke's brain for acting a fool? That was sweet). Anyways, he's probably one of the top 3 useless players in the NHL gets cold cocked by future stud Evander Kane.

Maybe because at best this should be a FanShot and not a FanPost
since all alpo did was link to a YouTube video – and since there were already multiple links in the GDT’s to this.
I fell rec’ing should have something to do with effort when it is in a FanPost or FanShot and as I mentioned in CNS’s awesonme FanShot that went up the same time as this, other people’s efforts are getting overlooked because they catagorized their post as they should have been. This almost has as many rec’s as gmh’s lengthy FanPost that obviously took days, probably weeks to write. That’s plain bullshit.
Sorry, no offense to alpo, but this just pisses me off.

But honestly I wouldn’t put that much stock in the whole “rec” thing… it’s almost like we’d be better off having more categories of “rec,” but I think that the amount of discussion gmh’s post generated speaks for itself.

seems like a pet peeve.
sure, it sucks when a detroit fan posts a stupid fanpost and gmh’s work gets pushed down, but this is exactly what a fanpost should be (and the same is true of gmh). would we be pissed if this showed up on the front page of SCH, published by one of the Three, and pushing a game recap down a spot? NO!

The coolest part about this is that, according to Wikipedia, he's named after Evander Holyfield.
Also, he had a teammate in the World Junior Championships named Tyson Sexsmith. For real. How this name got by the Name of the Year people is beyond me.
