Continuing with my recent tradition/superstition or whatever, I worked up another video for the Stanley Cup Final. Since this hasn't happened since I was 8, I made this one to encapsulate the Hawks playoff run and some Hawk history. After sifting through about an hour and a half of Hawks highlights, I came up with about 5 minutes of what I think is gold. If you have 5 minutes to spare (or want to blow off some time at work), check this out, and I hope you all enjoy it.
Included: 09-10 Pregame intro-Game 2 Nashville-The Comeback Game-The Buff Trick, Kaner making Lu look silly-The 4 Sharks Games, Copious amounts of goals, celebrations, Niemi being a badass-Booby, Stan, Savy, JR etc completely undressing opposition D

I just watched again (after several celebratory beers).
And I reiterate what everyone else has said/suggested: they should hire you to do the videos. Yours capture everything I love about the ’Hawks . . . the talent, the passion, and the history.
I used to watch the games in negative because the old man wouldn’t pay for SportsChannel. Which is a) indicative of my age, and b) why I can follow a puck almost anywhere on screen (don’t ask what I was yelling when nbc totally failed after Duncs lost his teeth).
People should just take shots of themselves watching the vid and send them to the WBEZ idiot.

I would have gone with a bit more audio ducking on the “One Goal” segment, and I was looking for a “first time in 18 years” audio, but I had to publish this one (cleaned up some audio at about 4 am today, and added Wiedeman’s call to the “One Goal” when I woke up this morning) funny thing is, I didnt have a good feeling about todays game

my biggest worry was that I had to put an audio edit in there to give me an extra minute of time (fucking Hawks, being good at hockey and shit, and making my life hard), it still isnt perfect, but it did its job

I have ears trained for that stuff! It was a very good cut and honestly nobody would notice unless they listened for it or were really good at catching that stuff! Excellent work! I was wanting to do something like this but I just couldn’t find the right song to use and you nailed it my friend! Excellent song choice as well! I love that you left some of the play by play audio in there and also used some of the radio calls! You did a fine job!

With the win today I was feeling pretty goddamn good and now I come home to this video and I am fucking ecstatic. Reliving the playoffs up to this point brought goosebumps to my skin. I was lucky enough to be at the game for Kaners 00:13 goal and I am just as excited watching it right now as I was then. We’re all pulling to have a sequel to this vid. Cheers to you BigC, Cheers.

But awesome video Big C. Far and above anything I could’ve expected. Makes me even more proud to be a Hawks fan knowing that this video was made by one of us. Every Hawks fan should see this. download realplayer sp (it’s free) which will allow you to download the video then you just convert it through the realplayer converter and then put it on your phone. He has a blackberry curve and I have an Iphone so it at least works on those two.
