History Will Be Slayed!
We only get to do this once a year, so I wanted to take the time to celebrate Dustin Byfuglien while he's still relevant and on our good side. Did anyone really doubt though that he'd show up big for this series? Okay, never mind I asked that.
I think I'm getting the hang of this video/photo editing stuff (you really can teach an old dog new tricks), hopefully you'll agree. I figured my results couldn't be much worse than the crud the NHL has been churning out recently.
This one could just as easily been entitled "What if the NHL had 29 Vancouvers?"
So that was the classic version of the NHL History Will Be Made parody. But you guys already knew I wouldn't stop there didn't you? The extended "on crack" version and some accompanying graphics after the jump...
And here's the extended version. C'mon admit it. That celebration alone is worth watching twice.
All I can say to that is "LOVE ME!" I have no doubt that will be among my favorite goal celebrations of all time.
I have to admit I've never watched the movie or an episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," so hopefully I didn't crucify my attempt at parodying it in that video (/vampire humor). By the way, that's the theme music to "Buffy" if anyone didn't already know, like me. I'm not sure if I feel shame or not.
Here are some graphics that I put together for the extended version of the video.

Well, let's hope Big Buff can keep Lu occupied for the remainder of the series and if all goes well, maybe we'll see more performances like that from this impostor wearing #33.
By the way, Gordon McIntyre, thanks for the SCH shout out and the "15 minutes!"
Feel free to check out my other FanPost that includes some of the "oooh so clever" artwork that apparently Gordy was referring to. I've updated it with some new Photoshops including the Happy Meal one below. Maybe skip the lame video though.
Give that fat kid a 3-piece Happy Meal. Panda (our SCH nickname for Hossa) says "Right on, soul brother man!"

And Mr. McIntyre, word of advice: Never mess with a person with mad Photoshop skills. They'll make you look foolish. But you already did that all by yourself now didn't you?

Gordon McIntyre - Tinfoil hat fully engaged. And proof that not only the Scarecrow needed a brain.
Go Hawks!

Hey, I thought was bad luck!
Didn’t things turn out badly the last time you did that??
Well, folks, I want to thank you for being here for the recording of my live comedy album. Funny material and laughter will be dubbed in later.

Never a better time to reverse a curse!
As I recall, a lot of them have been broken this series (jerseys, drinks, food… why can’t a sock puppet get some love?).

And oh crap, I guess I deserved getting that damn song stuck in my head now, since I’ve done that to everyone a few times. Payback’s a fish?

Btw
AWESOME!!! Major guffawing ensued… I had to close my window!
I think you’ve picked up better video editing skills in the month or so you’ve been doing this than I’d be able to figure out in a year. I wish I had the skills to make a Gladiator: Buff Edition trailer or something (check out the real one — soooo much potential!).
p.s. that logo looks eerily similar to the Moose Jaw “Genetals” logo that Puck Daddy called out
very nice!
Your video-editing & photoshop skills are getting crazy awesome.
Maybe we should thank Lu for always failing/falling in ways that provide such photoshop gold – I love how the hockey stick just perfectly pierces Lu.
thanks for doin that...
this is the first time I had seen the goal and celebration and I have to say I couldn’t be happier. That celebration could not have been directed towards a more slapdick group of fans either….well maybe detroit
Give me the wrench....because F*CK him
you beautiful son of a bitch
This is utterly perfect. Well done.
Rock Over London

As a fan of Buffy and Big Buff
This post is glorious!!!
I didn't make it strong. I mean, its not comfortable, but its not THAT strong!
awesome job!
I would feel bad doing this to Nashville, but Vancouver is just so easy to hate! That celebration (and commentary) will go down in history!
Terrific Work Man
That was professional. Great job.
Hehe
But wasn’t he more of a one hit wonder?
