Fantasy Team Throwdown
I didn't see a thread on here where everyone lists their fantasy squad then gets huge bonerz. With the season just around the corner I figured we could list our teams in this thread to pass the time until Friday's opener. I'll start. I like my team, but could definitely have placed a little more emphasis on D-men. This is a 14 team league, so we were scraping a little bit towards the end.

Was in a great auction draft this year
Categories: G, A, +/-, Hits, PIM, Special Teams Points. Only eight of us, so 8 points up for grabs in each category. If you finish first in every category by end of season you’d get 48 points. If you finished first in 5 of them and second in the sixth, you’d get 47. Worst possible total is 6.
You have to use 12 fwds and 6 d, and that’s the minimum team, but you could draft up to 18 fwds and 10 d (which I opted to do). My team:
Toews
D. Brown
E. Staal
Backes
Sharp
Kesler
Kulemin
Carter
Ott
Stafford
Hossa
Bolland
Stastny
Fisher
Roy
Franzen
Leino
Simmonds
M. Green
Visnovsky
M. Staal (a risk)
Markov (a bigger risk)
Phaneuf
Leopold
Shattenkirk
E. Johnson
E. Brewer
Montador
I know it’s tough to evaluate when it’s not your league or team. But like Qtips says, it’s not Friday, and this is hockey.

Also SCH fantasy
C Anze Kopitar
C Henrik Zetterberg
LW Milan Lucic
LW James van Riemsdyk
RW Ryane Clowe
RW Michael Grabner
D John-Michael Liles
D Ryan Suter
D Kimmo Timonen
D Matt Carle
LW Andrew Brunette
RW/LW Rick Nash
D Ryan Whitney
LW Dustin Penner
LW Ryan Smyth
G Jonathan Quick
G Niklas Backstrom
My D leaves a little to be desired, but overall I’m fairly happy with the team. I think in the past the largest league I was in was 10 teams. SCH having 14 teams certainly made the draft interesting. It kinda lets you take a flier on someone and not get too badly burned.
See if you can guess what I am now.
Good opening night for Qtips
Cafucks lose, albeit in an overtime that should have never happened…and BryzzNasty shuts down the defending champs!
I'm pretty happy...
