Meh, it’s easy to point fingers at OV but he’s their only player who has ever stepped it up in the playoffs.

So I guess the only thing he can’t do is make up for the play of at least a half dozen of his teammates who don’t give a shit.

But you can’t tell that to anyone in DC (it’s where I live). I wondered out loud after he got handed two big "C"s by the team, first the contract then the captaincy, if they tossed him the C without thinking about it and barely anyone could see my point. Much like Luongo, the whole team leader thing is too much to ask of the guy. It’s clear he wants to win but it’s also painfully clear that when his teammates start standing around he tries to take over and forces stuff.

There's leading by example

then leading by trying to do too much yourself which usually spells disaster. This goes for any project, not just hockey captains.

They should have won that game last night, but still face a sweep. Hard to believe – this really could be SJ’s year, and I don’t have a problem with that, they’ve had a good team over there for a number of years now. The only person I cannot stand is of course Wheatbread.
