Nashville Trip Thread
All right people, we're getting close now to our Second City Trip to Nashville, whether you're coming with us or just meeting us there. I wanted to get a thread going to figure out A)where we should be meet up before and after the game and B) to find out from those who have done the trip before some things in Nashville that those of us who haven't been are a must do. First, the meet-up. Let's get this thread going over the weekend so I can post an official meet on Monday. I know Rippy's is right across from the arena, let's start with that and open debate.

when we went to Nashville
We had our meetup at The Flying Saucer. That’s a definite must-visit. Large seating area, good food and huMANgous big beer menu. Good good stuff.

I second The Saucer.
Incredible place. Over 200 beers on tap. TWO FUCKING HUNDRED.
Downtown Nashville is a damn fine place to get wasted in. I’m living proof of that. There’s a few places I’ve been told you’re supposed to avoid (Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville being chief among them, but we didn’t go there). But really, the whole area is a plus place to go.
Fight Club writer for the print edition of St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
The Throwdown Lowdown Report, only on The Bluenote Zone.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
And I'm a witness to the wastedness of DK
We drunkenly talked over pizza at 1am and I don’t think either of us have a clue as to the topic.

Lodger
I mean lodging. Where’s everybody staying?
The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up.
We're at
Drury in and Suites Nashville airport… actually was rated the 4th best hotel in Nashville, but I still may change it to Holiday Inn Opryland
Downtown is way more expensive than I thought it would be. Just saw a Holiday inn express foer 314 a night!
1700 block of Church Street
1-2 miles from the arena go to either Blu or Blue Genes. Four dollar cab ride at the most.

Seems as if they're having parking issues near stadium

We might park and tour downtown prior to the game so a meet up for us near stadium would be ideal.
Feedback from the locals
We’ve opened a thread over at OTF taking suggestions for you guys, thought you might like a look:
