Bylsma is the best coach in the NHL.

This team won’t do a thing in the playoffs unless there is substantial upgrade coming on defense. Montador is dogshit, O’Donnell a relic who tries but doesn’t have a lot in the tank, and Leddy little more than a 3rd defensive pairing at this stage.
Predators are the best coached and smartest team in hockey. You make mistakes and they pounce. Vintage Trotz team.

Patrick Kane is a one-way player
If you want to pretend he is a two-way player and can remotely carry Toews’ or Hossa’s jockstrap in this regard, then go for it. Kane is a wondrous albeit streaky offensive creator. But he is a complete one-way player. Moreso then any annointed “star” right wing in the Western Conference.

Yup.
To be a good goalie you have to make some big stops from time to time, he hasn’t done that since week 2 of this season (outside of a few good games here and there).
The goalie is, after all, the last line of defense...

If the Predators can ever manage to create offensive consistency they would be very serious Cup contender with THAT goalie and THAT defense and Trotz calling the shots. They are the team that nobody gives enough attention to in the NHL.

They are not that far from competing for a Cup. Weber and Suter are key, so pull out all the stops and go for it now if you are the Preds. They have a lot of talent, and among the deepest systems in hockey. Rinne is ready to play Cup hockey right now.
