Evan here in the high desert.

Ive been watching the Hawks off and on for 40 years and this season is high on the frustration meter. My 10 thoughts:

1)Lil Bowman has missed alot of calls, see (2,3 and 4):

2)Keeping Hjarmlesson(or however you spell it) instead of Niemi, and paying him 3+mil a year? He's a 3rd line pairing at best.Doug Wilson pantsed Bowman on this one.

3) Brunette, Carcillo, and O'Donnell were super weak additions(although Mayers and Emery were good additions, Monty is a push). Brunette simply cant skate and doesnt belong on the team.Overall a poor offseason.

4) The Hawks are 0-8 since trading for Morrison, he sucks.

5)Where did Hayes go? He added hustle, size, energy and skill. I'd even like to see Pierri brought up as the center Hawks are missing.

5) why the hell do they roll out John Scott out there for 5 minutes? The Hawks are big boys now and have some guys that can stand up and fight. Hire Scott as fighting coach and that's it, if he's so important to the team.

6) Lepisto should have been playing a whole lot more, with Leddy moved down in the lineup.Q and Bow need to get on the same page.

7) It sure looks like Toews is hurting, can someone else please step up? He's been turning the puck over and shooting like Frolik.

8) Get Nabokov, Get Nabokov, Get Nabokov. Right now! Crawford stinks. It simply looks like he is unprepared, positionally terrible, weak and distracted.

9) Defend the BLue Line! Poke Check! have a couple guys always hustling there to disrupt. No easy entries into zone!

Block some shots. In The game against the Preds at least our special teams looked competent again.

10)there is still a chance this season with Nabokov + a couple call ups, and one other good trade, no more John Scott or Odonnell, and sacrifice and balls out play.

Lets beat the Rangers, or please please, at least the Blue J's!
