Kerry Fraser & Alain Vigneault put the onus for the way the Canucks reacted after the hit on Dan O'Hallaran(?) for not banishing Keith as soon as the hit took place. No they reacted that way because they have a team IQ of nil and are weak minded. Regardless do they have a point, could the refs have meted out punishment on the ice to quell the need for retaliation? The answer is clearly yes, but not the one those people want to hear. Daniel Sedin should have been given 5 minutes for his attempt to injure Keith, and make no mistake that's exactly what he was attempting to do. He made a decision to target Keith's head in a vulnerable area coming from a space where he was undetected. That is intent to injure. Of course the Canucks would be crying about that then.
For a team that is so high and mighty and feels they are the model franchise, they did zero to protect a player that was possibly injured. Why are they not being held accountable for this lack of concern for a possible head injury?
The Canucks are singing concussion from the mountain tops for the whole world to hear and have even given a time frame for how long he is expected to be out. First off the NHL does not give injury info, upper body or lower body is all they can say otherwise they are infringing on patient confidentiality agreements. Gamesmanship in regards to an issue of this importance is ridiculously low, but I guess not so much when you consider the source. Secondly that they are giving a time frame is absolutely beyond ridiculous. What exactly is that they know that the doctors didn't know that were involved with Marc Savard, Sidney Crosby, David Parent and the long list of players that have missed time from head injury? If they have such a great understanding of these injuries that the league is working to better understand why haven't they shared any of their great knowledge? Simple they don't know Jack! They are just scummily trying to shape opinion. I guess it's different that the usual of Mike Gillis holding his breath until his scarlet faced head bursts.
They are telling anyone that will listen that Keith said he was going to "get' Daniel. Where's the surprise there? For me it's that Coach Q didn't step in and tell Keith to keep his head and that we'll send someone "appropriate" after Sedin. That's how you handle star players being targeted if you feel that retaliation is necessary, but you sure as hell don't allow your star to put himself in the situation Keith wound up in. I'm not saying it's Q's fault, but if he were better on top of the situation he could have at least kept Keith from taking matters into his own hands.
Lastly! LOL LMAO ROTFLMAO and any other acronym for hilariously laughing at the Canucks. From THEIR CAPTAIN! "well we hear a lot of things from their dressing room, team but not him" Huh? What are you serious? You ADMIT that YOUR TEAM is so weak that they not only pay attention to what a team is saying about them but on top of it they let it affect them? That is one of the weakest things I have ever heard from an adult! I couldn't fathom Jonathon Toews answering a question for why his team acted like a box full of tools with "they called Sharpie a #)$$!( so we showed them". If only the Hawks had a legit power play and could make them pay for their dooshbaggery that would make it all the more hilarious. No matter THANK GOD we have Toews as the captain of the Blackhawks and not some soccer player on skates.
Sorry my first post is so long but brain and fingers meshed.
