Well I suggested it, might as well be the one to do it as well.

As many saw, I kind of threw a fit in a Daily Links thread that a potential political subject (Tim Thomas) and was thrown into the thread since in my view it was a sure fire way to ugliness and sides being taken.

So here is my idea. A thread like this is either maintained in the Fan post section or developed as need for these type of topics. Topics that in some manner touch Hockey but are perhaps too hot for a general thread where others want to ONLY talk about Hockey and avoid the ills of society for a while.

I do not think it should be an "anything" goes, the TOS standards of mutual respect and such are a must, but strong and opposing points of view, opinions and feelings on various "hot" topics can be more freely discussed without pissing off the rest of the peasants.

What are your thoughts on this concept is this something we the commentors of SCH should keep around? By all means go to town on the Tim Thomas deal here too(at least until the TOS shut this Post down for me being out of the box!)
