While I realize that it has been a couple months since his passing, I'm wondering if we could perhaps as a community pull off a couple things in tribute to Dan.

Thing the first, do we as a community of like-minded (in the hockey sense) individuals have the clout or man power to get the Hawks organization to give some kind of tribute to Dan, even if only through Twitter or Facebook, I imagine he'd appreciate the shout out and it might be something special to his surviving family. I know many of you use twitter and could contact them via that, and those of us that are on the book of faces could contact them through there.

Idea the second, should we have one person(Possibly MMD, but maybe the TOS) leave a comment on the Funerary Site, as a kinda spokesperson from his family and friends expressing our collective condolences. Additionally they could post a link back to the tribute post below so that anyone of his loved ones who wanted to could come and read the individual accountings of the impact he's had on so many lives. I imagine this might bring comfort to some folks.

Or do y'all think this is too far after the fact and the above are terribad ideas.
