Many of you have possibly wondered where burpchelischili has been. Well in the thread about Badger's unfortunate passing someone, Katherine I believe, mentioned that he had become sick. Hearing this I emailed him to get the skinny.

When I shot off the email, I wasn't really sure if I'd even get a response, fortunately I did. Burp(Tony)'s wife Denise responded to let me know what was going on with him. Apparently many moons ago are dear pal Burp suffered a wipe out which caused him to get a concussion. Now Burp being of the old school of manliness has apparently suffered about a gazillion concussions in his life, Denise said about 30 all told, and this one was the bad one. He's been absent from our midst because he currently can't watch either TV or look at a Computer screen. He's also had some memory issues and can't remember his passwords, which is why his wife hasn't just logged on to holler at us. But despite this he's still with us, Denise reads the posts to him every day, and he'd also like to offer his condolences to Badger's family.

Now here's the part where I'm asking for some help folks. Burp lives in Central Illinois, about 4 hours from Chicago. If we can get some sort of a head count of folks that would be willing or ableish/interested in maybe going to give Tony(Burp) some sort of a hey-how's-it-going, I'll figure out names and run things by Denise and see if we can get some kinda Burp-feel-better deal thrown. Denise has stated in each email to me how much he misses us here and I think if we could pull something off it'd really be appreciated.

As I'm super geographically separated from the herd, all I can do is help with organization, but if someone who is closer would like to head this up and speak to Denise about getting something going, I will gladly hand over the reins. I just want to see something get done. We've already lost one member and I know many of us felt kinda bad about not pursuing his absence. Let's not do that again.
