As pretty much any regular reader/commentor on SCH or any hockey blog will tell you, the summer if fucking boring. Even with the Olympics this year and the similar type sports (Handball, Water Polo etc) its just not hockey. So.... What better way to get through the boring summer months than with.... HOCKEY!!!!

"Wait, you mean there is actual hockey being played during the summer?"

Of course, dumb ass, we've only been having these games for over a year now, and even better you can watch OR PLAY.

"I bet it's just a bunch of creeps from the blog who I wouldn't want to be within 5 miles of."

Yeah pretty much, but don't worry you are on our list of people we wouldn't want to be within 5 miles of as well, so it kinda works out.

"But I'm a lazy ass couch potato"

We had someone come all the way from Southern Canada (Minnesota) to play last week. So your excuse is weak bullshit.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: Inline skates, gloves (optional), sticks (we have extras) and the courage to fall down playing hockey! You probably won't be the first one to fall, I managed to have a pretty nice wipe-out during warm-ups last week, so you got that going for you, which is nice.

The week-after-the First year anniversary game was a tempered success!

Highlights include:

- 10 players, yes eminemilie I counted you as a full player!

- 2 hours of fun filled, high flying, goal packed hockey (3 games)

- Red team won games 1 and 3. 5-4 and 3-2 respectively and White team won game 2 5-3.

- FEMALES. We had one confirmed female join us which was the the delight of LanceFister3 who worked up the courage to ask her if she wanted to share his milk and smell his shin pads. One day you'll get there buddy.

We have a really strong group of core players that show up every week. So if you are on the fence about coming out you really have nothing to worry about. So quit with the excuses and drag your ass out for what is sure to be a fun time with some laughs.
