So, here we are then. Nine months and nearly thirty fanposts since my rampant attention-seeking urge to create led me to mock up a 19th Century version of SCH and take the first of many, many cheap-shots at laaarmer. So many amateurish photoshops, so many lousy jokes. All those groundbreaking topics covered: Dave Bolland is a psycho, John Scott isn't very good, Dave Bolland is a psycho, Patrick Kane likes a drink, Dave Bolland is a psycho. And the Recs.. the sweet sweeeeet Recs..mmmmm (eyes glaze over, starts babbling to self until slapped upside the head by a monkey)

Anyway, this will be the last time I do one of these on SCH.. (adopts serious voice) While I sincerely wish Greg the very best of luck and hope that this blog continues to maintain the superb standard already in place, I'm going to be moving lock, stock and barrel (o'monkeys) to the new site. There are several reasons for this, but one stands out above all the rest.

After I had been doing this for a little while, one of the regulars on here (who shall remain nameless for their own protection) e-mailed me to suggest that I strike out on my own website, a la Down Goes Brown. While I was very touched and flattered by this massive compliment (or maybe they just wanted me to go away.. wait a second..) it ain't going to happen.

1) I'm not THAT funny

2) Hell, I'm not even that FUNNY

3) So much of what I have written and amateurishly photoshopped on here has relied, for its comedy, on the amazing cast and crew of this blog. In-jokes and references have abounded. Hell, if I was ever stuck I just had to reach into the big drawer marked "Ammo" and select from files such as "Ahn and her Hammer", "CNS 4 Recs: Tru", "laaarms & The Eggs" or "TMFF". I feel blessed, as a writer, to have such an abundant source of material: the characters and the language: the running gags and shibboleths. Even the douchebags (you know who you are) have played their part. This wouldn't translate to the wider world and I wouldn't want it to. Knowing that, as obscure as I can get, there will be people who understand and appreciate it is priceless.

So, yes, that's the big reason I'm moving this operation. It's my belief that the bulk of this community will shift to the new site and it's there that this shared experience will continue to debate, discuss,brawl, argue, drink, post gifs of people giving the finger, and above all rec my comments grow.

It has been a huge amount of fun making these silly posts, never, ever seemed like a chore. I've had a great time even when the posts that took the most man-hours of actual work get a "Meh" and ones that I rattled off in an hour get praised to the heavens (important lesson I've learned: Bolland jokes are always a good thing).

And that's what it's all about, for me. It's fun. I'm not seeking to promote myself, or get a foothold into blogging or anything of that sort. I just get a huge kick out of making these things and I get a huge kick from watching people react to them. If they actually enjoy them.. well, that's a bonus.

So, before we get to the jump, I'd like to thank the TOS & Hack for their continued encouragement and support from when I started cluttering up the side of the page with my gibberish. It meant a lot.

I'd also like to thank those who have offered encouragement, suggestion, criticism and the numbers of clinics where I can seek help, both through the comments and e-mail. Big ups, y'all.

Finally, thanks to everyone who has made this place what it is. I hope to see you on the other side..
