I know. It seems like a dumb idea to mess with the lines when the team is running so well. But from my perspective, there is one tweak which I'd like to hear the community's thoughts about. While the Pp units seem to be working (at least better than last year), and the 1st, 3rd, and 4th lines are productive, the 2nd line seems to be very meh. In particular, Sharp has been nearly invisible in 5v5 play. I don't see him hustling, he seems to be standing around a great deal. Maybe those of you who know hockey better than i do can tell me if he's handling his defensive assignments, but I don't see him contributing very much right now, except on the pp.
So what would you all think about flipping Saad for Sharp on the top 2 lines? Saad seems to be hustling and being more active on the ice. I don't know forwards defensive assignments (I always feel lost when announcers start talking about it), but I can't imagine that he's blowing them too often otherwise, by reputation at least, Q would've yanked him off the ice. I like the energy he's showing and wonder if it wouldn't help the 2d line start producing more. I can't imagine that switching him for sharp on the top line is really going to reduce the effectiveness of that line too much. Is it crazy to think that playing with hoss and capt serious would provide a kick-in-the-a#@ for sharp's effort level (you've gotta work to avoid looking lazy next to those two).
