Already in complete control of their first round series against the Minnesota Wild, the Chicago Blackhawks can end any hopes the Wild have of getting back into this series and pulling the upset. After the tightly contested affair that was Game 1 of this series, which the Hawks took 2-1 in overtime, the Blackhawks were able to get back to their style of game in Game 2, and the results were obvious as the Hawks trounced the Wild at the United Center by a 5-2 count.
Still out for the Hawks are Dave Bolland and Ray Emery. Each made the trip, but neither will be on the bench for Sunday's Game 3. On the injury front for Minnesota, Jason Pominville remains out, and Clayton Stoner did not skate on Saturday. Niklas Backstrom made the trip to Chicago on Friday, but did not play. His status for Sunday is still up in the air. If not, it will be Josh Harding for the third consecutive game.
