Daniel Carcillo Moves West

Jonathan Daniel

The Blackhawks have traded forward Daniel Carcillo to the Los Angeles Kings.

The Gorilla Salad era has ended in Chicago as Dan Carcillo has been traded to the Los Angeles Kings for a conditional draft pick. The oft injured, penalized and benched Carcillo was a fan favorite for those who loved the old school physical meathead. Those of us who like our hockey players to have an ounce of brains could live without him. This move was strictly made to free up some more cap space and clear another roster spot for one of the kids from Rockford. The Blackhawks will get $825K in cap relief and a conditional draft pick in the 2015 entry draft. I wish Carcillo the best of luck in LA LA Land and try not to injure any of your former teammates this up coming season.
