Recap: Phoenix vs. Dallas

Sports Network | November 15, 2008

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Loui Eriksson scored two goals and Mike Ribeiro collected three assists, as the Dallas Stars defeated the Phoenix Coyotes, 3-2.

Mark Parrish found the back of the net for Dallas, which won for just the second time in its last seven games. Marty Turco stopped 25-of-27 shots to pick up the win.

Steven Reinprecht and Kevin Porter both scored for the Coyotes, who have lost two straight after a three-game winning streak. Ilya Bryzgalov, making his ninth consecutive start for Phoenix, allowed three goals on 19 shots in defeat.

Eriksson's backhander found room on the short side and gave Dallas a 1-0 lead with 2:54 remaining in the first period.

Reinprecht tied the game 2:32 into the middle stanza, but Parrish's power-play marker put the Stars up 2-1 at the 8:13 mark.

Dallas grabbed a two-goal lead with 55 seconds left in the frame on Eriksson's second tally, then Porter, off a great backhand feed from Mikkel Boedker, lit the lamp 17 seconds later.

Turco made six saves in the third period, including a right pad stop in the waning seconds, to preserve the win.

The Stars lost five of eight to the Coyotes in 2007-08...Dallas was 1-for-3 on the power play, while Phoenix finished 0-for-2.
