Hawks left wing/resident numbnuts Ben Eager was placed on injured reserve retroactive to last Saturday, after the Florida game in Helsinki. As Tim Sassone reports, he is eligible to play against Calgary on Monday, but it seems that he has concussion-like symptoms, something that has plagued his short career. Expect more of the Bryan Bickell/Radek Smolenak Experience for the immediate future.

Is this indicative to either Ben Eager or Troy Brouwer missing more time than tonight's game? Stay tuned, kids....

The Herald's Tim Sassone is reporting that both Ben Eager and Dave Bolland will miss Thursday's tilt with Detroilet. Troy Brouwer is also questionable as well. This will bump Radek Smolenak, and possibly both Jordan Hendry and Aaron Johnson into the lineup. The fun with line combinations continues. If Bolland ends up missing significant time because of this back issue, things could get dicey for the Men of Four Feathers quickly.
