Bowman sucks + 9 other Hawks thoughts

Make every play lead the way to victory, John. The Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Bears...

Make every play lead the way to victory, John. The Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Bears announced today a historic partnership between the two franchises, marking the first of its kind between an Original Six National Hockey League team and a founding franchise of the National Football League. The cross-branding promotional initiative includes commercials, representation inside the United Center and Soldier Field during home games for each team and a wealth of other activities. The five sets of commercials that will be released this fall feature one Blackhawks player and one Bears player, emphasizing the mutual support between each organization and the city of Chicago. Blackhawks Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp, Brent Seabrook and Brian Campbell will join forces with Bears Jay Cutler, Devin Hester, Robbie Gould, Lance Briggs and Greg Olsen in these spots.

The question is will we get video when Burish and Cutler hit the town together?

Skille Sent Back Down

"Let's go home kids." "We are home." "That was fast." He may be back up before the game tomorrow, or this means Eager's ready to go as he's eligible to come off the IR. In other news, McClure and I would like to trot out "Weapon X" as Madden's Second City Moniker, being a Wolverine and all.

Crimes And Misdemeanors

Well, sounds like this is going away pretty soon. I have to say, Indicted on Misdemeanors should be the name of someone's metal album, maybe punk.

This Could Be A Real Problem

Hilarious for the rest of the league, potential disaster for us. FedEx, maybe?

The Real Number

So it's not the 3.7 that we thought on Friday, but 3.3. Still sounds high, but not as much, considering the number that was bouncing around my head after the season was 2.8. However, perusing other #2 center cap hits, and it's this observer's opinion that Weapon is a #2 center, here you go: Matt Cullen at 2.8, Daymond Langkow at 4.5, R.J. Umberger at 3.7, Mike Ribeiro is at 5, Patrick O'Sullivan is 2.9, Michal Handzus is 4, P.M. Bouchard is 4, Robert Lang was 4, Legwand at 4, Danius Zubrus is 3.4, and after seeing all those, Bolls number seems just about right.

Krejci Re-signs in Boston

Consider the market for Bolland set.

Ah, That's Why We Didn't Notice Pahlse

There's probably going to be more of these stories.
