Stats From Last Night

I’m really into hockey sabermetrics, as those of you who read The Committed Indian probably already know.  So I thought I’d print some of them here, though these are more just interesting stats.  Here’s the shift charts.  This is a cool way of seeing who matched up with who, though once it got out of hand that didn’t really matter any more.  You can drag all the player lines around to see match-ups better.

Here are the Corsi Ratings from last night.  For those who don’t know, Corsi Ratings for individual games are a measure of how many shots a team attempts while a player is on ice than the opposing teams attempts against.  It’s not perfect, but it’s a good way to see who was carrying the play.  Again, last night might not be the best example, but it’s fun to see how dominating Keith and Seabrook were, and that the Bolland line was once again the Hawks best.  We’ll try and get these up after every game.
