I'm not sure if I understand what Denis Savard is doing here:
Blackhawks coach Denis Savard modified his lineup slightly Tuesday, moving Adam Burish back onto the top line with Robert Lang and Jason Williams. Patrick Sharp, who played wing on that line Saturday against Atlanta, rotated into Burish's spot on the 3rd line with Dave Bolland and Yanic Perreault.
To me, Burish really hasn't done enough to merit a promotion to the top line. Sure, he brings some energy and some physical play as a 3rd/4th liner, but he clearly does not have the offensive talent necessary to play on the top line.
I think Sharp has been one of the top Hawk forwards out of the gate and deserves to stick on that line with Lang and Williams instead of being relegated to 3rd line duty. With the way Savard likes to jumble lines, however, I wouldn't be surprised if Burish doesn't stick around long on that first line.
Also, the article says that Sergei Samsonov is going to be a healthy scratch for the second straight game, mired in an offensive slump with no goals to start off the season. Personally, I think one game was enough and he should be back in there against Dallas, but perhaps an extra game off is what he needs to get back on track.
