Predators Team Statistics
After a big 3-2 victory in St. Louis last night, the Hawks take on the Predators back at the United Center tonight. This is the first meeting between these two teams this season, and last year they tied the season series, with both teams going 4-4.
Nashville started out the season with a rough 2-6 record, but since then they have gone 4-1 in their last 5 games. They've had some issues in goal, as Chris Mason, their normal starter, has struggled to the tune of a 3.90 goals against average in 9 games. So, they've been playing rookie Dan Ellis lately, and he has put up a sparkling 1.35 GAA and 4 wins in 7 games.
The Predators aren't quite the offensive team they were for the last couple seasons, after losing Paul Kariya to free agency and Steve Sullivan to the injured reserve list. Still, this is a team that has been playing much better lately and is feeling more confident, so the Hawks will have to be ready for them tonight. It would be nice to get a win in both games of a back-to-back situation.
