Hoping for a repeat: The Copper & Blue
Lets not linger on what happened the last time these two teams met. It was our first adventure without Hossa and.. well things didn't go so well. Four goals in the first chased Marty Turco and Crawford gave up two more on route to a 7-4 victory for the Oilers at the United Center. It wasn't all terrible though - even in that abortion of a game there were a few bright spots. The Hawks grabbed two power play goals, Keith had 3 points, and it was a game back when we were all thrilled about Sharp's play - he had a goal and two assists.
There's no sugar-coating it though, it was an abmismal game that we don't want to re-live. It's worth mentioning that the Hawks have played four games compared to the Oil's two. Edmonton dropped both games to Detroit and Vancouver while the Hawks have obviously had their own struggles.

The good news though is that the Hawks are once again going to have the talents of one Marian Hossa, as all reports are that he'll re-join the team tonight. Sassone has him skating along with Jeremy Morin who is healthy enough to play after taking a shot to the back of the leg in last night's win. As for the other lines... who the hell knows what Q has in store for us tonight.
As for the Oil - Taylor Hall seems to be thriving without the pressure of possibly being sent down. He has 5 points in his last four games and looks like he's the real deal. Jordan Eberle had his 5 game point streak broken after his visit to the UC and has been held scoreless in the last two.
The Hawks can't keep losing to teams like Edmonton who are still deep in a rebuilding mode. We were hoping that they'd right the ship against them last time and we're still waiting. Hossa will be a big help but he won't be able to do it alone.
Lets Go Hawks
