Blackhawks Stanley Cup Parade & Rally

New, comments

The Blackhawks will take to the streets of downtown Chicago and rally in Grant Park to celebrate their 5th Stanley Cup win in franchise history.

It will appear as if the entire city of Chicago will be on either Michigan Ave or in Grant Park today, but that isn't the case. Some of us couldn't get off of work or chose not to go. I went to the 2010 parade and had a great time, but one was enough for me. I will watch it on my DVR when I get home for work with the luxuries of air conditioning and some ice cold "adult beverages."

If you are at home or at work, there are plenty of options to watch and/or hear the festivities. All the local news outlets are already starting their coverage. If you want more a sports oriented broadcast, you can tune into CSN Chicago or the NHL Network. Many websites will be streaming their coverage today as well, including CSN, The Score and NBC 5. The Score, WGN and WBBM are all broadcasting the events on the radio as well.

For those of you reading this while waiting for the parade to start be safe and courteous to those around you. Let's show the rest of the world why Chicago is the greatest city in the world.
